THE GUINNESS STORY

In 1759, at the age of 34, Arthur Guinness took over a small, unused brewery at St. James's Gate in Dublin and leased it for 9000 years at the rate of £45 a year. Today, the brewery covers some 64 acres in the heart of Dublin and employs over 600 people producing more than 4 million pints a day.

Held up to the light, Guinness reveals its true colour, an intense ruby red. A wonderful marriage of barley, hops, malt and water. Guinness' rich, creamy flavour belies the fact that it has fewer calories than most light beers. Guinness is best served in a 20 oz. Imperial glass, with a perfect half to one inch head rising slightly above the rim.

The only Guinness served here is the same product brewed in Ireland. As the Irish standard dictates, we serve our Guinness chilled between 3 and 5 degrees Celsius.
